Prison Ministry

Bringing Hope Behind Bars

“Presenting everyone perfect in Christ” (Colossians 1:28)
Guided by this vision, the Coptic Prison Ministry (CPM) reaches out to those behind bars and their families—helping them encounter Christ, experience repentance, and find new life both inside and after release.

Vision & Mission

CPM exists to share the Good News of Jesus with incarcerated individuals nationwide and to support their families. We partner with local churches, faith-based organizations, and correctional facilities to deliver:

  • In-Prison Visits: Prayer, Scripture teaching, and pastoral care.

  • Correspondence Ministry: Letters of encouragement and discipleship materials.

  • Recovery & Reentry Programs: Small groups, life-skills coaching, and job-readiness support.

  • Family Outreach: Counseling, practical assistance, and referrals to community resources.

Why We Serve

  • Matthew 25: Visiting those in prison is like visiting Christ Himself—an act that leads to inheriting the Kingdom of God.

  • Compassion for Families: We also minister to spouses, parents, and children left behind, echoing Jesus’ compassion for the widow of Nain (Luke 7:12–15).

Who We Serve

  1. Incarcerated Individuals (inmates, detainees, juvenile offenders)

  2. Families of the Incarcerated (spouses, children, caregivers)

  3. Families of Victims (providing prayer, counseling, and community connections)
